"Children from St Thomas's and St Philip Neri Catholic Schools in Sydney's Lower North Shore have pulled out all the stops to help their counterparts in Letefoho", reports Ornella Byak, LETS for Teens Coordinator. 'They really are living up to the true spirit of giving at Christmas time!".
Over 160 children created diverse and colourful entries for this year's LETS Christmas Card Design Competition. The winning entries - 'Christmas Blessings' by Joe Lonergan from St Philip Neri Catholic School and 'Merry Christmas' by Gaby Lee from St Thomas's Catholic School - have been printed on season's greeting cards. All proceeds from the sale of the cards will go to improved sanitation and education in Letefoho, Timor Leste.
Priced at $7.50 per pack of five, the two card designs have been selling out after masses at the three churches in the Catholic Parish of the Lower North Shore - St Thomas's in Willoughby, St Philip Neri in Northbridge and St Leonard's in Naremburn. Cards are also available from the St Thomas's Piety Stall in Willoughby and via the Parish Office at 182 High Street, Willoughby.
"Your support through this Christmas time of giving is much appreciated," adds Ornella.
